| Jennifer graduated with honours from the University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1978. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in February 1979 whereupon she joined the Firm. Jennifer was admitted into partnership on July 1, 1982. She practised as a litigator for some 7 years in the field of property law, corporate law and business finance/banking law before switching to non-litigation work. Thereafter she advised on a wide spectrum of commercial and corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, foreign investments, security documentation, banking and construction contracts. Jennifer is both a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public. She has also been admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. Jennifer is a serving member of the Disciplinary Committee Panel, appointed by the Advocates and Solicitors’ Disciplinary Board established under the Legal Profession Act 1976 for the purpose of conducting disciplinary proceedings against advocates and solicitors. She has for some years been and still is a member of the Malaysian Bar Council’s Corporate and Commercial Law Committee. Jennifer was a Management Partner and a member of the Firm's Executive Committee, until she took on the new role as Consultant with effect from January 1, 2011. |
