Christopher was admitted as a partner of the Firm on March 1, 1994. A graduate of the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Laws degree with Honours in 1980, he was called to the Peninsular Malaysian Bar in January 1981 after which he commenced practice with another firm in Kuala Lumpur. As an active litigation partner of that firm, Christopher accumulated substantial litigation experience in the fields of insurance law and personal injury claims. Since joining Raja, Darryl & Loh, however, his practice has evolved into one consisting primarily of all levels of life insurance, asset management, unit trust and trustee-related work. Christopher was for more than 10 years an appointed independent member of the board of directors of the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (formerly known as Federation of Malaysian Unit Trust Managers), resigning when the FIMM became a self-regulated organisation. He has lectured on unit trusts for the Capital Markets Graduate Training Scheme run by the Securities Commission and has also been a two-term member of the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee. Christopher is currently a member of the Bar Council Corporate and Commercial Law Committee and still keeps in touch with his litigation roots by taking on a variety of court work for the Firm.
