| The third member of the Firm's Executive Committee, Raja received his Bachelor of Laws degree with Honours from the University of London in 1982. In July 1983 he was called to the English Bar as an Utter Barrister and is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, London. Raja was admitted and enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1984. Raja was one of the principal litigators in another law firm in Kuala Lumpur before he joined the Firm's litigation team in December 1987 bringing with him the benefit of substantial courtroom experience in a wide range of subjects. Admitted into partnership on October 1, 1989, Raja handles general commercial and civil litigation including actions involving sale of goods and banking. On May 1, 2004 Raja was appointed a member of the Homebuyer Claims Tribunal established under the Housing Development (Control and Licensing) Act 1996. He has also been appointed a member of the Disciplinary Committee Panel by the Advocates and Solicitors' Disciplinary Board under the Legal Profession Act 1976. |
