Wei Mun graduated from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 18th November 1986 whereupon he joined the Firm and was admitted into partnership on January 1, 1991. At present, Wei Mun principally practices in the field of construction law and heads the construction department where he is involved in advisory, drafting, and dispute resolution work.
Wei Mun has been involved in the dispute resolution process which consists mainly of arbitration with regard to construction projects involving, amongst others, international airports, hotels, commercial complexes, a water treatment plant, a petrochemical facility, oil rigs, a paper mill, a waste disposal facility, a major dam, a power station, undersea fibre optic cabling, and land reclamation works. He is presently the President of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators and was listed as a leading lawyer in the field of construction dispute resolution in Chambers ASIA 2010 and 2011. He has also acted as arbitrator in respect of various international and domestic disputes.
