 Peter is a graduate of the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, with degrees in Law and Commerce (majoring in Accounting), which he obtained in 1999. In that same year, he was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. On his return to Malaysia, Peter read in Chambers with the Firm and was called to the Peninsular Malaysian Bar in 2000. Thereafter he practised as a litigator, assisting Ravindra Kumar, handling matters ranging from insurance, motor accidents and probate to claims arising from the trading of public-listed securities. He left the Firm in October 2002 in order to assist in his father’s legal practice, but returned in September 2003, this time to join Rajasekaran’s section in the Dispute Resolution Department. Peter was promoted to the rank of Senior Associate in April 2005 and became a partner on April 1, 2008. |
